Dear Friends,

I can’t believe I am finally christening my new website with my first blog post! I was a little hesitant to write at first, because the website was just so pretty and I didn’t want to mess anything up. But seeing as I’m a writer, and I have this awesome website, and Marigny Street has finally been released, I felt this was the appropriate time to say something. There has been so much going on, I’m not even sure where to begin. When you have a ton of mess to start picking up and clearing, I find the best place to start is anywhere. Anywhere for me would be just to start off by saying, thank you.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me along this insanely awesome journey of venturing out into the great big book world. I had a story to tell, and thanks to some very important people in my life, that story has finally been set free for all to enjoy and hopefully fall in love with. I’d also like to thank all of the new readers discovering the journey, taking a chance on it, and leaving me feedback on just how much you’ve enjoyed Eva and Gabriel’s story. I know there have been some questions about whether there will be more of Eva and Gabriel. And the answer is, yes.

I’ve covered this in my author notes in my new book to be released in September, Red Dirt Road, but I wanted to mention it here as well. I always knew Marigny Street—Eva and Gabriel’s journey—was not going to be ‘the usual’ series. Like the book itself, it was quite special, because I had no idea where it was leading me. All I knew is that I wanted to stay with them and allow them to lead me wherever they went. And where they led me was directly to an entire set of new characters and circumstances, but through it all, the journey essentially led me right back to them. And let me tell you, I was shocked to find that it was not just a journey of two souls, but a bunch of tangled ones, all taking the same journey on different roads. It was a beautiful melody of so many things, and one of these days, I can’t wait to share the rest with you. As I said, we’re just getting started.

I also wanted to share with you guys the blog tour Marigny and I are starting on August 12th (Monday, for those of you who are like me and would rather know the actual day, not the date). My host is the awesome Amanda over at Good Choice Reading, and the tour will kick-off and end with her! I can’t wait to share all of the awesome things we have planned. I was fortunate enough to score an interview with the man himself, Gabriel Roberts. And I’ll just say this. It is good to know people. The interview really gives you an insight into who he is and how his enigmatic mind works. There will also be a chapter that was not included in Marigny from his point of view and a ton of other goodies that I think you’ll enjoy. Excerpts and teasers, and ending it all with the big shebang—two delicious giveaways! (Click here to be taken to the schedule)

During the time of the tour, I’ll be reporting live from my hometown, New Orleans. I hope to walk the streets with the characters and share plenty of pictures and memories.

I hope to see ya’ll there and maybe meet new friends along the way! Please, stick around the website and explore. If you have any comments or things you’d like to see, don’t hesitate to contact me. I love making new friends and I’m always striving to add new things to this place. If you’d like to be the first to know of any new releases and contests, sign up for my newsletter as well. Good things are coming and I can’t wait to share it all with you guys!

With Love,

Annie
